Samiratou ZONGO is an agricultural engineer by training. She is currently doing a Masters in integrated crop protection.
In 2019, she wanted to be financially independent and start something. Thanks to an idea from her aunt, she decided to get involved in the processing and marketing of ginger and turmeric, by setting up her company, SAVIZ.
She works with local producers to buy ginger, but produces her own turmeric. Samiratou ZONGO has faith in her business, and aims to become a reference in her field.
“In the years to come, I see SAVIZ becoming a reference in the ginger and turmeric sector in Burkina Faso, and even internationally,” says Samiratou ZONGO.
