Jacques Henri SIKA is inspired by a traditional family recipe. Four years ago, he has put on the market, a chilli with different seasonings.
The mother of Jacques used to make chilli to offer to people as part of their custom. And Jacques saw a potential in commercialising it. He started the production, processing and marketing of chilli as a pilot. At the beginning in 2013, his company was producing 5 boxes of 200g of chilli per month. Today Jacques is employing 9 people, has 33 distribution networks and his company sells an average of 650 boxes per month.
“People in general think that you need a lot of money to start a business. But if you look well at the history of this enterprise, we started with 10,000 FCFA, with 5 boxes,” says Jacques.
