Aboubacar KARIM, an engineer in agricultural economics develops services for an intelligent management of agricultural plots.
Aboubacar developed a passion for agriculture since he was in secondary school. This eventually led him to choose studies in agricultural economics in Canada. After his studies and his diploma in his pocket, Aboubacar returned to his country, Côte d’Ivoire, in early 2017 despite the advice and reluctance of some of his relatives. He founded his company, INVESTIV, which offers services in precision agriculture. He uses drones to go over the fields and diagnose diseases, do mapping and also provides other services based on his clients’ needs.
“We have counted on our capacity to auto-finance, to search for clients, satisfy them, realise profits to be able to scale-up. This is our strategy,” says Aboubacar.
