Description
Issaka BOUGOUM is the founder of the company, “RANCH du KOBA”, specialised in the export of fruit and vegetables, particularly fresh and dried mangoes.
He got into the business after finishing secondary school. The company exports around 2,500 tonnes of mangoes each year to Europe and North Africa. It has a packing station and employs 200 people, mostly women.
Although the company makes occasional losses, the founder claims that the mango business is profitable. His dream is to be able to set up a mango processing plant in Burkina Faso.
“Our dearest dream is also to take a step into processing, because processing also adds value to what we already do,” says Issaka BOUGOUM.
