In Burkina Faso, access to drinking water remains a major problem. The consumption of poor quality water, especially in rural areas, is the cause of several diseases, including diarrhea.
To address these challenges, Arthur Ahmed YO decided to create Bilada, a company that produces disinfectants for drinking water. It also produces disinfectants for the treatment of fruits and vegetables, for health care materials, for hand hygiene and dishwashing.
In the next five years, Bilada hopes to develop a community distribution network made up of women’s groups and health workers to be close to rural families.
