In Burkina Faso, a fresh chilli pepper tasting competition was held.
Thrill-seekers took up the challenge of eating a minimum of five chillies. The competition brought together around ten determined candidates who dared to face the fiery heat of the chillies. Sié DOLI was the overall winner. He won the sum of 50,000 FCFA for his bravery.
Joël TARPAGA is the initiator of this competition, which is in its first year. For him, the aim of this initiative is to draw attention to the promising sector of chilli cultivation.
To ensure the safety of participants, a medical team was on standby to intervene if any problems arose.
