Description

For six years, the Dryland Development Programme, DryDev, worked with communities in six dryland areas of Burkina Faso to help move from subsistence agriculture to sustainable rural development.

Funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, and implemented by World Agroforestry, through its partners, SNV and Tree Aid, the DryDev programme has worked to develop farmers’ skills on a range of techniques and practices on the conservation of water and soils, compost production and soil amendment, seedling production and reforestation.

The DryDev programme is ending. But the actors are convinced that the momentum created will continue with the commitment of different local actors.
