Description
The Permanent Inter-State Committee for Drought Control in the Sahel (CILSS) launched Project 2 of the Regional Programme to Strengthen Resilience to Food and Nutritional Insecurity in the Sahel (P2-P2RS) on 15 April 2024 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
The aim of P2-P2RS is to help improve living conditions and food and nutrition security for people in the Sahel. For Dr. Amadou DICKO, Burkina Faso’s Minister Delegate in charge of Animal Resources, this project embodies the commitment of governments to adopt an integrated, holistic approach to the various challenges they face.
The project is being implemented in 9 countries: Burkina Faso, Chad, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo. P2-P2RS is financed by the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the West African Development Bank (BOAD).
