It’s in the South-West, in the province of Loba, more precisely in Ouessa, that we have set down our suitcases for this new episode of Rural Life.
Located approximately 248 kilometres from Ouagadougou, Ouessa is a cosmopolitan town where Ghanaian and Burkina Faso cultures coexist. In Ouessa, traditional dress goes beyond the aesthetic dimension and is at the very heart of the Dagara identity. Made by hand or machine, the Dagara boubou can be worn on various occasions.
In this episode, we’ll discover some of the key elements of Dagara culture, as well as the hard work of young people of Ouessa for the development of their beautiful community.
