Coffee with African flavours

Lamine BAKAYOKO holds a degree in agro-ecology. In 2010, he ventured into the coffee roasting business, which is declining in Cote d’Ivoire.

Lamine had a business plan already when he was at school. But he soon realised that the project was too big and no one was willing to fund it. So, he changed everything and started very small with almost nothing. Today his business is working well and he has already won many prizes.

“When we are a young entrepreneur, we are wrong to think that the first thing we need is finance. But I admit that even if we get a big jackpot and that we are not trained on how to use it, it will melt like snow in the sun,” says Lamine.
