Description

Francis Wendpanga IMA is the director of the college of Bagré (Centre-East of Burkina). He is also involved in crop and livestock farming, as well as the transformation of rice.

The fact that Francis is employed by the government did not prevent him from investing into agriculture. His colleagues in teaching see him as a good example and say that they should not rely on their salary only, when they have the possibility to venture into agriculture.

Francis is convinced that agriculture represents a very big opportunity. “It’s a new door that is wide open in front of me and I encourage the youth to get involved in agriculture. It’s an activity that needs our strength, our determination to achieve food security”, he says.
