Grâce-Marlène GNINTOUNGBE is a diplomat by training. Braving the reluctance of her relatives, she created “At Marlene’s garden”, an organic vegetable farm.

Marlène’s migration to agriculture has not been easy. She has faced several challenges, starting by the fact that her parents were not keen for her to be an agricultural entrepreneur. But she was determined and went forward with her idea.

“It’s not the money that we could get that is important. What is important is to do what we love and are comfortable with what we are doing, and that it has a positive impact on our life and on other people’s lives,” says Marlène.
